Polling closes

I'm in Warrington South where I've been helping the campaign to elect Nick Bent.  Today I've been running a committee room in Whittle Hall ward.  It's been encouraging to see our supporters coming out to vote.  I have little idea yet what the turnout is across the constituency.  The feeling is that turnout will rise this election across the country, particularly because it is so close.  I heard tales of unusual long queues at polling stations in Lambeth but until people see the numbers at the beginning of the count we won't know for sure, despite data from polling stations.

The Constituency Labour Party has run a great campaign here.  Now we must wait...
